Conceived as a new social destination in Buraidah, Saudi Arabia, the project develops an open-air mixed-use environment where retail, dining, workplaces and entertainment come together within a single architectural vision. Designed from the outset as more than a commercial destination, it creates a place where people gather, spend time and enjoy everyday life in an open and welcoming setting.
The masterplan is organised around a series of interconnected retail and dining islands, linked by a network of shaded streets, public squares, seating areas and water features that define the public realm. This structure creates an intuitive, human-scaled environment that encourages movement, discovery and social interaction.
Particular attention is given to vertical connectivity, ensuring strong activity across both levels through carefully positioned circulation cores and commercial anchors. Terraces extend activity outdoors, while variations in volume, landscape and façade composition introduce rhythm, identity and architectural character throughout the development.
Developed by Landete+Ramos together with Berkshire Design, the result is a flexible and contemporary destination where architecture, landscape and programme work together to create a vibrant place for everyday life, establishing a new lifestyle reference for the region.
