FIA FORMULA E
Diriyah, SAUDI ARABIASet within a heritage building in Diriyah, the project reinterprets the existing architecture for the FIA Formula E World Championship through a dialogue between tradition and innovation. Conceived as the Royal Cube, it brings together past and future within a single architectural narrative.
The ground floor expresses a refined, technology-driven atmosphere, while the upper level embraces warmth and local identity through natural materials. Together, both levels remain visually connected, reinforcing the coexistence of these two complementary worlds.
Located in Diriyah, the project transforms a heritage building into a contemporary destination for the FIA Formula E World Championship. Rooted in a place of remarkable cultural and architectural significance, the intervention explores the dialogue between tradition and innovation, bringing past and future together within a single architectural experience.
Conceived as the Royal Cube, the project is organised around this duality. The ground floor reflects the forward-looking spirit of Formula E through a refined, technology-driven environment, defined by metallic finishes, carefully controlled lighting and a dynamic architectural language. In contrast, the upper level celebrates local identity through natural materials, warmer tones and a more intimate spatial character.
At roof level, both worlds converge. Designed as a series of landscaped terraces overlooking Diriyah, the rooftop offers a relaxed social setting where shade, vegetation and carefully choreographed transitions create a balanced atmosphere between comfort and sophistication.
More than a temporary intervention, the project creates a dialogue between cultures, times and identities — an architectural destination where heritage, innovation and experience coexist within a single, coherent narrative.
