DANUBE HOME
Dubai, UAEDanube Home, part of the diversified Danube Group operating across the Middle East and Asia, is a leading destination for home solutions, bringing together furniture, materials and interior products within a single retail environment.
For its stores, we designed three architectural pavilions — Tile Selection, Sanitary and Outdoor — conceived as spatial landmarks that guide visitors through the store. Circular forms, vertical slats and natural materials create intimate, immersive environments, while integrated consultation areas and a greenhouse-inspired Outdoor pavilion encourage interaction. Together, these interventions establish a coherent architectural system that strengthens orientation, identity and the overall visitor experience.
The project for Danube Home was developed for one of the fastest-growing brands within the Danube Group, a diversified company headquartered in Dubai with activities spanning building materials, home interiors and real estate across the Middle East and Asia.
As a destination bringing together furniture, materials and interior products under one roof, Danube Home required a series of architectural interventions capable of enriching the customer experience without altering the overall organisation of the store. Rather than redefining the retail environment, the proposal introduces carefully positioned spatial landmarks that guide movement, reinforce orientation and create moments of interaction throughout the journey.
Three distinct pavilions were developed for the Tile Selection, Sanitary and Outdoor departments. The first two adopt a circular geometry, creating clearly defined yet permeable spaces where products are presented with clarity and precision. Vertical timber slats establish subtle boundaries, balancing openness with intimacy, while integrated consultation areas encourage a more personal material selection process.
The Outdoor pavilion is conceived as a greenhouse-inspired structure. Its lighter framework, combined with natural materials and abundant planting, creates an atmosphere closer to an exterior landscape, reinforcing immersion and enhancing the perception of the products.
Together, these interventions form a coherent architectural system that strengthens orientation, reinforces the brand identity and enriches the overall visitor experience. More than individual installations, they introduce a new architectural layer within the store, transforming movement into a more intuitive, engaging and memorable experience.
