The key intervention opens the upper-level façade, transforming it into a continuous gastronomic frontage with panoramic views and generous terraces that bring light, rhythm and a renewed architectural identity to the building.
At ground level, the landscape becomes an essential part of the project, introducing greenery, shaded areas, water features and flexible spaces for food trucks and social activity. Together, these interventions create a more open, welcoming and experience-led environment, activating the mall both inside and out.
The project reimagines an underperforming shopping centre in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia through a comprehensive repositioning strategy, transforming it into a vibrant lifestyle destination centred on gastronomy, leisure and social interaction. More than a refurbishment, the intervention establishes a new architectural identity, redefining both the programme and the visitor experience to attract a broader and more diverse audience.
A key intervention activates the upper level as a dedicated food and beverage destination, opening the previously enclosed façade to frame panoramic views and establish a continuous relationship between interior and exterior. A sequence of terraces defines the frontage, enhancing both the building’s presence and the overall experience.
At ground level, the arrival is reimagined as an open landscaped environment. Parking is carefully integrated with planting, water features and shaded areas to create a more welcoming, human-scaled entrance. A standalone restaurant pavilion, together with a flexible food truck area, introduces an ever-changing programme of activity, reinforcing the mall as a social destination.
Internally, the layout is reorganised to improve circulation and accommodate new anchor tenants, complemented by a large coworking space that brings daily activity beyond traditional retail hours. Vegetation plays a defining role throughout the project, softening the architectural character and creating a more comfortable and engaging environment. The result is a contemporary destination that establishes a new benchmark for gastronomy and lifestyle within the region.
